Connective (deep) tissue massage/Scar tissue guidance

CONNECTIVE (DEEP) TISSUE MASSAGE /

LITTEKEN BEGELEIDING
A connective tissue massage is applied to the connective tissue layer of the body. This layer is located between the muscles and the skin. Connective tissue massage grips stimulate the skin and underlying connective tissue. This increases the blood circulation in the skin and improves the underlying connective tissue, reducing adhesions.

Scar tissue can cause complaints to the posture and musculoskeletal system and it can also stagnate recovery.

REFLEXZONE

With a reflex zone massage it is assumed that there are zones on the body that are connected to organs, glands and other parts of the body.

A connective tissue massage influences the vegatative part of the nervous system, this system takes care of the regulation of organ functions such as blood circulation, breathing, excretion and metabolism.

WHEN IS SCAR TREATMENT RELEVANT?

It is always better to prevent adhesions than to cure afterward. A fresh scar, when the wound is just closed, is much easier to influence than an existing one.

The sooner a scar is treated, the better chance of an elastic result as well as a better moving body.

Treatment takes place when someone has:
  • adhesion of the epidermis
  • deep adhesions in muscle tissue
  • abdominal scars & organ fascia
  • chest scars (after cosmetic surgery and oncology)
  • scars on the spine after, for example, hernia operations
  • functional disturbances and arthrokinematic change due to scar tissue (movement limitation in joints)
